SARAH SMITH
Since founding the company in 1998, Sarah
Smith has charted Madison’s emergence as a premiere global consulting group offering cost effective environmental solutions within the operational boundaries of the airport environment. She brings a wealth of industry and leadership experience to her role as President of the Madison Environmental Group. In this capacity she oversees an international network of seasoned professionals whose talents meet the all encompassing environmental needs of the aviation industry. Prior to the company’s launch, Ms. Smith served for some seven years as the Director of Environmental Affairs at Signature Flight Support. In addition, she consulted for many years with an international environmental firm where she earned an in-depth of knowledge of matters relating to complex environmental remediation plans and risk-based liability assessments. Respected for her stellar record and her vision to get the job done, Smith has piloted Madison to its status at the forefront of environmental consultants serving the aviation industry.
Based in the Boston area, Smith graduated from Montana State University with a bachelor’s degree in geology. Her insights have been published in a wide range of industry materials including Airport Business magazine. Ms. Smith is also active in a number of trade organizations such as the National Business Aviation Association (NBAA), the Florida Aviation Trades Association (FATA) and the American Association of Airport Executives (AAAE).
JOHN WITOSHYNSKY
John Witoshynsky, P.E. brings much to the Madison team with nearly 25 years of experience
in the field of environmental engineering. Based in Florida and registered in the state as
a Professional Engineer, he is recognized throughout the aviation community for his unparalleled blend of expertise. Witoshynsky’s background includes extensive experience with storage tank closures, the installation of new fuel systems, contamination assessment, remedial system design, environmental construction, compliance management and liability assessment.
John earned both his bachelor’s and master’s degrees in environmental engineering from the University of Florida. As a Senior Project Engineer for Madison, Mr. Witoshynsky plays an integral role in Madison’s permitting and construction management and upgrade design services across the globe.
